Please join us July 30, 2024 in Lewistown, PA

Agriculture risk management education continues to be a priority for the Northeast Extension
Risk Management Education Center (NERME).  Since its inception in 2001, NERME has
supported educators in the region who provide risk management education programs to
producers in their communities, striving to keep agriculture viable and profitable.  We
understand that over time, risk management needs change.  In light of that, NERME will be
hosting a regional Stakeholder Listening Session.  The goal – to gather information that will
inform NERME and its Advisory Council of the current and potential future educational needs of
northeast producers and their families.
As you are thinking about the risk management needs in your area, we encourage you to reach
out to producers and ag service providers to ask them for feedback. You might ask a producer
something like “what keeps you up at night?”

The Stakeholder Listening Session will be conducted in Lewistown, PA on Tuesday, July 30,
2024
, at the Horizon Farm Credit Office (450 International Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837).

Participation in the Listening Session is free; however, registration is required. Please contact
Jill Shilling at jilshill@udel.edu to request a registration form. A block of hotel rooms is being
held at the Hampton Inn for Monday and Tuesday nights. NERME has a limited amount of
travel assistance available.
